What is changing in v1.2.3?
v1.2.3 adds the weekly and monthly Meal Planner. Add meal plans from AI suggestions, favorites, local recipes, or free text, then include them in backup and restore. Recipe details, regeneration controls, Supporter purchase-state verification, and usability are also improved.
What do I need for AI features?
You need your own OpenAI or Google Gemini API key. The key is encrypted on your device with Android Keystore, and provider usage fees are your responsibility.
Is on-device AI available?
Local AI is available as a device-dependent Preview on supported devices. It runs selected models on-device without an API key; quality, speed, and stability vary by model and device.
Where is my data stored?
Inventory, recipes, and settings are stored locally by default. Cloud sync is not currently provided.
What are Supporter and Premium?
Mottainai Supporter is a one-time Google Play purchase that supports development and removes the registration limits for food items, favorite recipes, shopping-list items, and foods to avoid. Mottainai Premium is a separate future subscription and is not currently available.
Is there an iPhone version?
Mottainai Pantry is currently Android only. An iOS version may be considered in the future.
