Local data

Food inventory, recipes, saved recipes, meal plans, and settings are stored locally on your device by default. The developer does not collect or store this data.

AI features and external AI services

AI recipe suggestions are optional. When you use them, the external AI service selected in Settings (OpenAI or Google Gemini) receives the data needed to generate a recipe: ingredient names, categories, quantities and units, expiry dates, storage locations, opened status, memos, foods to avoid, recipe language, and the generation prompt.

Do not enter unnecessary personal information in memos or other fields. The app does not send account information, payment information, or contact details for AI recipe suggestions. However, content you enter in an ingredient name or memo can be included in the generation prompt.

API keys and external services

API keys are encrypted on your device with a key in Android Keystore and are not included in JSON backups or app logs. They are used only to authenticate with the selected AI service; the developer does not collect or store them. AI usage charges follow each provider's pricing.

Each external AI service's data handling is governed by its own policies and terms: OpenAI Privacy Policy, OpenAI Terms of Use, Google Privacy Policy, and Gemini API Terms.

Exports and backups

You are responsible for managing CSV exports, imports, backups, and restored files securely. User-initiated JSON backups can include meal plans; they are not uploaded automatically.
